Whether you need a complete winter maintenance programme or help with individual jobs, we can tailor our services to suit your boat and requirements.

You don't need to be part of our charter fleet to use our services. We welcome enquiries from all privately owned sailing yachts and motorboats.

Antifouling & Hull Protection

Prepare hull, keel and rudder for antifouling and advise if sandblasting is recommended
Remove loose paint
Sand hull, keel and rudder
Wash down and remove dust prior to painting
Apply primer to hull, keel and rudder
Clean any rust on the keel and apply primer
Apply two coats of your preferred antifoul (we can provide advice on options)

Hull & Underwater Maintenance

Replace anodes as required
Respray saildrive leg
Service, clean and polish propeller
Clean and grease bow thruster propeller
Remove, clean and refit saildrive seal
Service rope cutter
Check cutless bearing and stern gland, replacing if required
Check and replace rudder bearings if required
Check hull-to-keel joint
Lower anchor to ground and check chain and fixings; remove rust, paint if required and mark chain
Check drive system

Inspect and grease seacocks

Spring clean heads
Service heads
Empty holding tanks and flush through with fresh water and tank cleaner
Clean toilets through with fresh water and dismantle pumps where appropriate to prevent freezing
Check heads pipes for calcification and replace as necessary

Winches & Deck Equipment

Service winches (please specify number of winches)
Service jammers

Sails & Rigging

Remove all sails and covers and send away for cleaning and servicing
Transport sails and canvas to and from sailmakers
Arrange for sailmakers to check and repair sails and canvas as necessary
Provide quotations for replacement sails or canvas
Refit sails and canvas to yacht
Arrange for riggers to inspect and report on the condition of the rig and running rigging
Wash sheets, jackstays, rigging lines and warps
Whip any frayed lines or warps
Provide quotations for rig replacement

Engine Servicing & Winterisation

Arrange for an engineer to service and winterise the engine
Service gearbox or saildrive
Clean battery terminals and coat with grease
Clean and polish diesel tank if required
Ensure batteries are on charge
Top up fuel tank
Service outboard engine

Interior Maintenance & Cleaning

Remove, wash, fireproof and replace cushion covers
Treat mould and mildew where required
Wash, iron and rehang curtains
Wash pillows
Carry out a full interior deep clean
Provide quotations for replacement interior cushion covers
Clean water tanks and flush freshwater system with Puriclean
Set up heaters and dehumidifiers
Repair dents in sole boards
Complete a full inventory check and record defects or broken equipment
Lift mattresses and cushions to improve airflow
Tie open doors and cupboards to provide ventilation
Clean hatch seals, apply suitable seal treatment and water-test hatches

Deck & Exterior Maintenance

Clean and machine-polish hull topsides
Remove oxidation, polish to a high-gloss finish and apply Yacht Shine
Clean, renovate and brighten teak
Deep-clean deck and wash sheets and jackstays
Carry out a full exterior deep clean, including external lockers
Check, repair or replace locker and lazarette hinges
Advise on deeper marks requiring specialist attention
Wash blocks, jammers and furling gear with fresh water to remove salt deposits
Inflate dinghy, wash and dry before repacking and stowing
Straighten bent stanchions
Check equipment with expiry dates
Arrange renewal or servicing of safety equipment as required
Remove and wash fenders and mooring warps, clean marks and reinflate fenders where necessary

General Maintenance & Yard Services

Organise and supervise yacht lift and pressure wash
Organise and supervise yacht relaunch
Supply Reeds Nautical Almanac
Supply charts and folios (paper and electronic)
Create a detailed schedule of expiry dates for routine maintenance and safety equipment, with ongoing management available
Regularly check that the vessel is secure in its cradle or correctly chocked by the yard
Connect shore power and check heaters and dehumidifiers are operating correctly, with regular follow-up checks

Spring Commissioning & Pre-Season Checks

Check electrical systems, including navigation and interior lights
Recommission engine
Check and calibrate speed, depth and wind instruments if required

Bleed stern gland if required for the seal type
Check and adjust door catches and hinges
