All our yachts are based at Hamble Point Marina where
you will find plenty of FREE parking.
WESTWARD
you may choose to meander up the beautiful River Beaulieu, mooring at Bucklers Hard and lunching at the Master Builder’s House Hotel. Continuing westward you will find Lymington with its pretty cobbled streets and excellent choice of restaurants and pubs. With even more time, you could reach Poole with it’s picturesque Town Quay and famous fish restaurants. Weymouth is an increasingly popular destination. Dartmouth and Salcombe are ideal for longer cruises.
EASTWARD lies historic Portsmouth where you can see the Royal
Navy and visit the various maritime museums and old ships. Berth at
the new Gunwharf Quay facility, so convenient for the exciting new
shopping and entertainment centre. Alternatively, Port Solent is worth
a visit for the 'Boardwalk' shopping and restaurant experience.
Carry on east to explore Chichester Harbour with its many scenic and
picturesque quays. The delightful Bosham is a must.
SOUTHWARD is the wonderful Isle of Wight. Cowes is a very short crossing from Hamble Point Marina and can easily be reached on a Friday night to give the weekend a great start. Cowes has been the mecca of sailing for generations and has a very special atmosphere. Potter into Newtown Creek for a swim or a barbeque ashore. Overnight in Yarmouth, and for a special treat, dine at The George.
Sailing right round the island is a popular weekend cruise.
FURTHER AFIELD
the French coast ports of Normandy and Brittany beckon. Cherbourg
is only 15 or so hours away and the excellent facilities make it an
obvious place to pause. The French coast has numerous quaint ports
with excellent restaurants. St Vaast, Honfleur and Carentan are among
the favourites.
The Channel Islands are worth a cruise in themselves,
with such variety.
Don't forget to visit Sark which is quite delightful once the day
trippers have left.
